Freeze drying is a freeze drying method. This can also be called lyophilization. It is the process of preserving biological material by removing water from the product, then freezing it and drying it under vacuum at very low temperatures. Simply put, freeze drying. As a result of the process, the color, taste, smell and content of antioxidants important for human health are preserved. Freeze-dried products have almost the same nutritional value as fresh products, and since water activation is minimal, the shelf life is 25 years. The product smells like crackers, is brittle, and is therefore popularly known as fruit chips.
